Duratec DIY Carbon Fibre Coil lead/Cam Cover pattern/mould (Reactions please and will be for sale once finnished)

Hi all

Have been beavering away at work with my latest project though the winter of a bespoke Duratec coil lead/cam cover that I plan to make out of Carbon Fibre or Glass so it can be painted. Also plan to make a second mould to produce a cover to do the same but without the cam sensor bump as some kit car duratec users don't use it. I know its a pain but there are some pics in my photo bucket album go and have a look and let us know your reactions. I will post up on here my progress once I have pulled out some covers out of the moulds.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Tony

Could also be interested in a cover if the price is right.

I'd be interested in a cover, price dependant.

Hi all,

Just a update on my work on a carbon fibre Duratec coil lead cover. I have taken a heavy carbon part out of my glass fibre mould which will be a new pattern for a carbon mould. Then I will take a glass fibre part out of the glass mould to fit to my engine and sort out bracketry. Photos will follow

A link to photo of it is below.

http://i1365.photobucket.com/albums/r743/tony1968cars/Facebook/Kit%20car/20150309_104051_zpssirrv2xl.jpg

It is not a photo of a finished part as it was made from scraps of carbon and it is not trimmed to fit, but it is not long now before a fitted cover will be ready.

If you need a real time account of my progress you can via my instagram SPINEMINE

Thanks for your Patience

Hi all, at last I have a part out of my mould for you guys to look at. It will be much better as I am now working on a carbon fibre mould so the finish will be far better than at the mo.

Sorry for the delay

Hi all,

Just a up date on my progress. I have now had a carbon fibre cover and GRP cover out of my mould, trimmed and test fitted to my 2.0 duratec ST 150 engine and in the process of making a new pattern for a cover for the cam sensor to be deleted from the part for those who want to not use the cam sensor and to bring down the profile of the engine a little for clearance issues.

Follow this link for some pictures of my work so far.

Not sure I need one as such but it would bling up the engine bay a little and with minimal additional weight! Have you any idea of the cost yet (the version without the cam sensor)?
