Indicators Flashing Too Quick
davidimurray - 11/4/15 at 07:16 PM

Just fitted some new bike indicators to the front of the roadster to replace the old bike indicators I had on. They are bulb type ones but when on they flash twice as quick as they should. Guessing I need a fixed rate relay - can anyone recommend a direct replacement for the sierra flasher module?

Or maybe just up the bulb wattage.

Had the same problem, just replaced the 10w bulbs with 22w.

Yep - go to your nearest bike shop and get 22W bulbs of the same physical size (you won't find them in Halfords). I had to do the same for my front bike indicators.

Looks like I need to work out how to dismantle those little arrow indicators.

Thanks for the advice everyone

You can also get flasher units that don't rely on the load for the timing that work very well.

get an led flasher unit.

I added another set under the headlights to sort mine out.

Its all because the wattage is too low giving the flasher unit a lower resistance, ie: not enough load.
