Hi all,
I have noticed a problem that I really don't understand.
I took the car out at the weekend and under reasonably heavy braking it felt as though the front wheels where bouncing.
The wheels didn't lock up, I couldn't feel a vibration and the car did not pull to one side.
Any advice would be welcome.
Has the car sat for a while on relatively low pressure tyres? there could be a flat spot type thing or bulge in the tyre wall that's exaggerated under breaking?
Was the bouncing sensation coming up through the pedal as more of a pulse perhaps , could be rust patches on the discs is the car has been stood for a while ?
Would it be worth employing a willing volunteer/victim to sit in the passenger seat and see whether it's coming through the car or whether it's localised to the pedals or steering wheel?
Thanks.
There was no pulsing or vibration coming from the pedal which confused me.
The car has been standing a while so could be the tyres.
Slimy38, just noticed your location. Thanks for the offer i'll let you know if I need the volunteer!
