A BIG THANK YOU TO DARREN

After trying to make contact with Luego to no avail, and then buying bits from Quantum to help me with my donor parts and never receiving them, even though Quantum took the cash from my bank.

After discussing my parts list requirements in depth with Jim at Tiger then never receiving a quote despite chasing up, I came across a small constructor called GTS.

Having contacted Darren and getting a great response, I decided to buy a Panther deluxe starter kit.

I then decided to join the Locosters web site – unfortunately it was obvious that GTS hadn’t got a great reputation.

Today, I received my kit from Darren and I have to say the kit is of fantastic build quality. Throughout the 13 weeks of the build, I received emails from Darren responding to my questions in timely fashion – 18 in total although, I do agree the phone is not the best way to reach Darren.

I understand that this period of time is probably longer than most constructors, but I adopted a patient stance and I am glad to say it was well worth the wait.

I would therefore like to say a big thank you to Darren. I am really chuffed with the quality of the kit, and if I had joined Locosters before purchasing, I would not gone to GTS which in my opinion would have been a shame.

Is that a 13 week delivery time?

Was that the quoted time and was it stuck to?

Probably the best analogy I've heard in a while. Made me chuckle.

I knew that would stir you all up LOL,

Jacko, I am in Pocklington.

No its not an advert, I thought I would give a good positive report- as strange as it sound to you lot he was really good.

There wasn't really a quoted delivery time, I assumed about 8 weeks, but he has had a two week holiday and some time off for Illness, so I suppose it took approximately 10 weeks.

Gave me time to sort out the garage with lighting and heating and get my donor parts sorted - you can see some pics in my photo archive

Has he got a gun in your back whilst you're typing?

Just give us a winky smiley if he has.

For a second then i thought it was April fools day.

But to be fair i am glad you had good service, and that Darren is obviously inproving (slowly).

Unfortunately for me, even when my parts did arrive the quality was poor too!

Never mind, onwards and upwards.

Good luck with your build.

Er, could we stop with the positive comments if you haven't dealt with GTS yourselves? It's unfair to comment unless you personally have had good service

The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make it moral.

Great to hear about Darren's good service, most people do get good service, just the ones that are unhappy shout louder unfortunately.

Have fun with the build, you'll probably beat me on my current progress
