Wheels, size, offset and stuff

Hi,
In an attempt to try and ignor the reported comms issues with GTS whilst waiting for my kit to, err, arrive..... Should be here soon......
Could anyone share with me their wheel size, offset and other stuff including rationale so that I can work out what wheels to get.
At this stage I am thinking of 16" wheels, 108 stud patern (Ford Sierra hubs) and ET40 offset (I assume this means 40mm offset).
If anyone could share some experience it would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
David

most sierra based kits seem to use ET35 to 40 offset
i think 15s are a reasonable compromise between performance, looks and cost
i used 15s on my last build with a ET38 offset, this ones on 13s

Got 15x6" rims on mine, with a 40mm offset clad with 195/50 tyres.

Plenty of pics on my site...

Hi,

Thanks BKLOCO, the link suggests an offset of 35 - 38mm.

Flak Monkey, are you using Sierra hubs, does the 40mm offset cause you any problems.

Thanks guys,

David

40mm offset is a bit tight on the rear arches, but still ok.

Am using sierra rear and cortina front. Not causing any fitment problems at the moment.

Andy,
Out of interest and slightly changing the subject, is your car a GTS Panther.
Also if you don't mind me asking but what colour blue is your car?
Thanks,
David
