New Stainless Exhaust Cans For Sale
907 - 6/5/09 at 09:36 AM

Hi All,

As some of you know, I'm now self employed and working from home, so it seems like a good idea to re-start can production.

I now offer a range of cans in various diameters and lengths, hopefully to suit most engines (and pockets).

115, 130, and 150mm diameters and 500 and 600mm body lengths ( + inlet, + exit bend )

Prices are still to be sorted but it looks like £125 to £190 depending on the diameter x length combination.

P & P is extra, but customers will be more than welcome to collect.

I also hope to offer a bespoke service for complete systems for relatively local people, picking up your car, and returning it
with a fitted manifold and can. (when I take delivery of my new trailer)

In the near future I'd like to take some dB readings of the new design cans and will post the results on here,
and on my new web site. (feel free to browse)

(Many thanks to my web designer, an angel called Rachel, for all the help in that direction)

Cheers
Paul G

i like that a lot, and youll be doing complete systems from the head to the tail pipe? If you can beat the £540 westfield are asking ill be interested in a couple of months.

r the cans made completely out of stainless?i would like to see some more of your work

where is the linky to the website?

BenTyreman - 6/5/09 at 02:00 PM

Website is http://www.paulgooderham.co.uk/.

The header seems to be broken on my version of Firefox (the heading text has fallen below the picture over the top of the subheading).

Changing h1 line-height from 180pt to 150px fixes it.

Hi.

The cans are made from 304 stainless steel with the exception of the expanded metal inner tube which I roll from titanium.

Any header/manifold work I make is made from 316 S/S.

My web site should come up if you click the WWW box at the bottom of all my posts.

Hi,

As a gauge could you say how much it would cost (roughly) to do a complete exhaust system for a locost 7?

Cheers,

O

Hi Omni,

A ball park figure for a pick up, make, fit & return would be from £550

It would depend on what it is, what you want, and where you are.

If you live in John O'Groats and want a V8 jobbie then it's not even close.
Ten miles down the road, I'd pick up for free.

Hi Paul,

Cheers for that. My project is a bit more bespoke so I will have to have a chat with you about that

Hi All,

I now have four cans but alas, no packing.

Hopefully it will arrive in a day or so then I can do some comparison sound readings.

It should be interesting.

Cheers

I have one of these and they are wonderfully made. I stuffed some wadding in mine last week and its now pretty damn quiet.

cd.thomson - 13/5/09 at 01:03 PM

What are the advantages of the different sized cans? different levels of sound deadening?

If everything else is the same, the biggercan should provide greater silencing, more room to allow the pulses to dissipate before exiting the system.

The idea is to smooth the flow of gas from violently pulsating (noisy) to relatively smooth (quiet) without reducing the overal flow by too much
