Tyres for Wheels

Hi I have just purchased some new wheels and they are 7" for the front and 8" wide on the rears, would 195's front and 205's on the rear be ok as I need to buy the tyres soon

Depends on the tyres, different manufacturers recommend different rim widths.

I would say 205 front and 215 back on those width rims...

Which tyres are you looking at specifically? You can find out most max, min, and optimum rim widths for each size of tyre.

I have purchased some Comomotive MLs and have been looking at the Toyo T1Rs but its difficult to find the right width for the rims 195/55/15 go to 7" rims but the 205/55/15 only go to a 7.5"rim unless i go down to a 50 profile.
any suggestions

I've got 17" Compomotives in those sizes and run 205/40 front and 245/40 rear. The fronts could be a bit wider but the 205s give a really good turn in.

Unless you are planning on running 250bhp or more, it sounds like you have bought the wrong wheels IMO.

How much power do you think you'll be putting out? You don't really want to run tyres too wide for the car.
