FS: BMW 2.8 engine and getrag gearbox - all ancilliaries!

Hello all,

Im breaking my 528i so I have all the running gear for sale to anyone here before advertising elsewhere.

All running gear is here including diff, driveshafts, calipers discs etc etc but Im only advertising the engine and box at the moment since I havent remvoed the rest yet!

Only removed this week and was last run about 7 days ago (took a vid to show running perfectly) and have all the service info for it. Comes with ECU and all anciliarries.

£250 engine and box together collect or arrange a courier from Northumberland.

Geoff

Yes I do fancy the 2.8, but I've just paid out for the 2.5. The 2.5 may just end up been used for the 'dummy' build to be replaced by a 2.8 nearer the time. The 2.5 was too cheap to refuse (£150 delivered) even though I knew I wanted the 2.8 really If you're still stuck with it after xmas then I might be in touch if my build's goin well mate.
Cheers,
Nick

Ooo, that may fit my cunning plan! (Some people call them "Cars", but I don't hold to this modern lingo ).
Don't suppose you could put a tape over it and give me some rough measurements?
Also would need to figure out a courier as you're a bit of a ways from Bristol

If disfunction is a function, then I must be some kind of genius.

Of course!

Wheelcarrier.com seem to give decent prices for car parts.

Will measure and get back to you!

I'd love to have this, but I'm in New Zealand for at least another month so I can't do much to arrange collection and delivery. I don't think my dearest mother would manage to shuffle it into the garage. Also, as above I'm not sure if it would fit.

Just out of interest, could you measure:

Front to back of engine.
Front to back of gearbox.
Front of engine to back of gearbox.
Width of gear box at the front, middle, and back depending on how tapered it is.
Height of engine.
