FS 130 BHP TDi Passat Estate £800.00 inc MOT

DEPOSIT TAKEN SO ASSUMED SOLD - Thanks for the interest folks

It's time for the 53 plate 130Bhp Passat Manual Estate to go.
I have bought myself a camper van project and I do not have room to store 2 vehicles or the inclination to run tax and insure 2 vehicles either!.

The car was bought by me in 2010 and has performed faultlessly since then.

MOT Till October 2014
Tyres are 25% worn

Air Con (probably needs a service as not overly cold)
Electric windows
Electric Mirrors
Auto Wipers
Central locking (only got one Key from when I had it)
Height adjustable drivers seat
Black cloth seats

The car was bought ias a daily runner for me and to as a more modern replacement for my 1998 406 estate.

Its the 1.9 PD engine cove AWX 130BHP and goes well and has not been mapped to my knowledge, uses little or no oil and uses no coolant.

I bought it with 80000 on the clock and it has now covered 117000 and will increase as it is used daily.

The car was bought as a CAT D repairable write off and it had suffered front end panel damage - don't panic it was not heavy!

I MANAGED TO REUSE THE FRONT BUMPER and FRONT PANEL SO YOU CAN TELL IS WAS NOT HEAVY DAMAGE - no chassis leg damage at all.

The parts replaced during the repair were as follows
Headlights - broken mounting tabs only
Grill
Bonnet catch
Bonnet
Airbox - broken mount
Airbox pipe cover - missing

In its time with me apart from being serviced on time by me (oils and filters, brake pads etc) it has had the following
New alternator clutch pulley
CV boot OS outer
Water pump @ 80000 when the front end was off for repair
Timing belt @ 80000 when the front end was off for repair
Relocated the CCM from the NSF footwell to behind the gloveboxmodule and performed the recommended pollen filter seal modification to eliminate the risk of water ingress - another common problem on these VW's
That's it!

It has passed every MOT to date with no issues.

The car being 10 years old does have some 'character'

If you want to make it 100% fully functional It will need the following
CV joint as its knocking slightly on light right turn under load
The drivers seat lumber support went 'Boing' about 2 months ago and I can live without it so didn't investigate further
The rear wiper motor works but the washer 'through spindle' has sheared couple of months ago so it dumps the water into the boot if you operate the rear wash! It's a common fault with the VW's with the through spindle and I can live without it so I do.
There was an advisory 2 years ago for the front top wishbone bushes but it was an advisory this year too and they are no worse than 2 years ago so may or may not need doing come MOT in October but I suspect not.

If you are bothered about cosmetics then the alloys have some VERY LIGHT kerbing, there are stone chips on the bonnet and there are a few dents on the bonnet from where my neighbours window opposite my drive way blew out with an explosion caused by an aerosol can left under the wood burner - pillocks! I have not done anything about the dents because I am trying to go through their house insurance for the repairs to mine and my Mr's cars - see photos of small dent and the biggest rusty bit of 'glass rash'

All in all its not a bad motor, drives well and and has never failed me.

Yours for £800.00 Collect from Telford or could deliver for fuel cost (within reason!) :-)
