zx9b carbs

hi all,

have fitted zx9b carbs to sons 2.1 pinto, running fast road cam, have changed jets to 1,5 as a starter point, idle screws out 2,5 turns, carb 1 running dry, carb 2 wet, 3 wet wet no 4 wet wet wet, popping back through exhaust and no 4 carb, have read about blocking air correction jet, whitch one is this, any ideas on how to fix before getting it to a rolling road for final setup.

Thanks

Andy

Have you balanced them, if not your symptons sound like they need balancing.

Mine are 1.8 on a zetec
I would have thought it would run though, just not rev cleanly
If theres no fuel getting in i would make sure the carbs are clean, remove the jets and float valves and soak them
Is there fuel in the float chambers ?

Don't worry about the main jet yet.

Idle and pilot circuit controls roughly 0 to 20% throttle
Needle controls 20 to 75% throttle
Main jet controls 75 to full throttle

how can we confirm what model carbs we have?, have googled but not sure, these have no tps on them.

Thanks

You can find out if theres fuel in the bowl by undoing the drain screw in the bottom of the bowls
Without vac points on the manifold use a carb synchroniser for webers/ dellortos
On ebay for about £35
