FS: CBR Turbo BEC 195BHP
Chaps,
Before I run the gauntlet of eBay you are warmly invited make me an offer for my car. I think we all acknowledge the wealth of support and knowledge
on this forum and its only right that after all the support everyone has given me over the years that first refusal goes to LB'ers.
You might remember the car from various threads but the spec is:
Broadly 'book' locost but with Westfield alloy IRS, Caterham front suspension and many chassis mods for stiffness. Lowered, rounded and
relocated scuttle making dash easier to reach and bonnet longer and sleeker - finished in 2k Lotus Storm Titanium.
CBR1000F engine with Garrett t25 Turbo @ 7psi, intercooler and 16 row oil cooler - 195BHP at the wheels at Daytuner (potential for realistic 225BHP
according to Damien)
Custom Billet lock up clutch from Psycleworkx in Cambs
Nova Racing (OE Caterham) reverse box with all genuine Nova gearbox mounts and Nova rubber guibo (quiet and smooth, no shunt or oil loss at all)
Sierra 3.38 Diff
Adjustable camber F+R
Adjustable castor F
AP Racing 2 pot alloy calipers front (CP5119)
Shortened quick rack with alloy mounts - no bump steer or rack extensions
Oxted Trimming Co Half Hood
Carbon front arches
Lowered carbon-kevlar floor
New seats
Attention given in the design to roll centres and packaging - tried to achieve smooth 7 lines with as few lumps and bumps as possible
This is a seriously quick and well balanced car but having built this over a long long time I feel its now time to hand it over to someone who can
play with suspension settings and optimise the engine map and get the enjoyment out of it - I did 64 miles last year!
12 Months MOT
Good 888s at the front (not so good at the back)
Loads of new parts
Few little niggly things here and there (boot cover doesn't fit properly, steering column cowl needs sorting out, I feel the seats aren't
quite right for the car etc) as you might expect with a non-production thing but come and see for yourself - some hours have gone into it thats for
sure!
£9500 ONO
More pics in my archive and lots more on request

That Hartside road is superb isn't it!
Loads of bikes out yesterday when I was out taking pics - plus the new garage at Alston even does super unleaded and like drinks and stuff?! All mod
cons!
