Boxford 4.5" lathe
This isn't mine and I'm seeing if there's any interest on here. The lathe is in very good condition and has an electronic speed
control with a very large motor (240v - behind a perspex cover, can't see the power but it looks about 1hp). The owner wants £600

I'm interested - what comes with it, what footprint does it take and how easy is it to transport?

That's a great deal for an AUD.
From memory they weigh around 225 kg. I took an engine crane and lifted it on to a trailer.

I sold one recently. They split from the base and you can fit it in an estate car. It's a 2 mAn lift

You'd be surprised how quickly the sales people at B&Q try and assist you after ignoring you for the past 15 minutes when you try and start a

The dimensions including an electrical box on the gear end are 133cms length & 72cms depth. The motor is huge and 1.5kw (2HP). It drives a toothed
belt and is securely bolted to the base. There's some cutting tools and 3 sets of jaws (hard - soft).
