autoelectricians

speculatively would anyone take on a paid job in the midlands to fit a pre made premier wiring loom to my dax?

just reading about it now online and it sounds like theres all sorts I have to do with relays etc so not the plug and play job I was hoping for.

Lay the loom out on the kitchen table.
LABEL up every wire that you CAN identify.
Then try to identify the others.

Do this BEFORE putting the loom into the car. This way its easy to test and check the wires actually go where you think they do (ie to identify the circuits).

The wiring frightens more people than most jobs when it comes to Kit Cars.

Just take it slowly, and the key mindset is to take it ONE CIRCUIT at a time.
ie ignore the lighting circuits when you are dealing with the ignition wiring.
Treat every part as separate circuits or groups of circuits.

Thats the best way to deal with it. Its really not that hard. It just Looks 100 times worse than it really is.

Final word, if you are really not sure, get an experienced autoelectrician to do it.
Bad wiring causes more faults and makes for an unreliable car. Or worse still a fire, which can totally destroy your pride and joy.
(You may have already reached that verdict by the contecnt of the original posting).

Good Luck with it.
