If you go visit them, let me know what it is like. I need a good 1275 for my mini too. (it's a 998 right now). I would jump all over a vtec conversion, but hell!!! that is about $4000 (2000 pounds)

I've got a metro turbo block in N/A form in a high state of tune apparently, the problem is, its not mine to give away if you where interested in picking it up from Edinburgh I would find out what sort of price the owner would want for it, U2U me

This may be a bit expensive with you asking for "cheap", but a mate of mine has a 1275GT (11 stud) which has a big valsve Cooper S head, Kent 286 (full rally) cam, Aldon 100AY dizzy, strapped main bearing on a mini gearbox with 4.1 diff.
Comes with twin 1 1/2 SU's that need an over haul. The carbs currently on it he wants to keep.

It's been put back in the car for demo purposes and he wants as near to £300 as poss.

It's on the Wirral
