How to hold aluminium against aluminium while epoxy goes off?
Hi folks,
I want to epoxy a piece of aluminium angle to part of ali side panel of my car. Gravity is therefore working against me. How should I keep it in
place?
I've been toying with:
* Some instant-grab adhesive in the middle of the part with the strong stuff on either side.
* Two bl@@dy strong magnets - I'll have to buy these
* Gaffer tape
* A wooden prop against the GRP body - obviously not keen to apply much force
Any better ideas?

5 minute epoxy and simply hold it in place with the things on the end of your arms...?
Gently warming the panel beforehand will aid fluidity of the adhesive and ensure a quicker set time. Viscosity will increase enough to hold the thing
in place in a few minutes.

The thinner the layer of adhesive you end up with the better. Clamps, magnets etc work nicely. Riveting it at peel points will stop it peel-failing
later. Holding it will not be great, and tape won't be worth the effort.
