front splitter

decide to make myself a front splitter today using 6mm marine ply with 3mm carbon effect abs plastic bonded onto it. not sure if it will have any effect on high speed corners like gerrards but at least it looks good ( well i think it does )its secured at the back. to the chassis and hanging basket looking brackets at the front.
here it is btw the jack isn't a permanent fixture

I would paint the outwards facing edge black to finish it off.

Cheers

You can do it quickly. You can do it cheap. You can do it right. – Pick any two.

Did you put any thought into making it a bit wider and taking it a bit further back at all?

you cant really see on the pic but it runs up-to the wishbone mount ,it has a full flat floor so didn't bother extending it any further and i did make a wider template but it didn't look right .

Few years back.. on Blatchat there was serious experiment with what you have cobbled together.
IIRC the conclusion was that it Effed the handling noticeably.
Contrary to all assumptions/expectations.
It significantly reduced downforce on the rear wheels.. Not Good.
Aero and Sevens are mutually exclusive :-)

what car was it they used as mine got the engine in the back which makes it 90kg heavier at the rear than the front, that with the planned rear wing should keep it balanced ( hopefully )
