FS: Nearly Finished Dax Rush

For sale is my built but unregistered 2.0l Dax Rush. £7000

Spec:

De Dion rear suspension
Independent front suspension
GAZ adjustable suspension all round
Sierra uprights
Reconditioned Sierra disc brakes all round
2.0l C20XE engine, 150hp as standard
Ford type 9 gearbox
zx9r carburettors, bogg bro manifold, pipercross air filter
Megajolt fully mappable ignition control
Large dax sport radiator
Custom stainless steel exhaust
triton race products GRP bucket seats
Full set of Smiths motorsport gauges
17" tsw alloys, nearly new toyo rubber
Premier wiring loom
bright-6 warning lights
Led rear lights
Aerocatch fuel filler
Complete Dax GRP body panels + bonnet scoop

Work needed:

The car has been for IVA, for which I have the associated paperwork. The car requires a small amount of work to get through the test, mainly just sticking on bits of rubber. The car originally failed for emissions, but I now have proof of engine age from vauxhall which confirms that it only needs to meet the old emissions requirements (which it does).

After it's passed the test it just needs a bit of tidying up to be ready for shows. If it doesn't sell then I will take it for test this Spring and sell it with the associated markup.

I am open to NEAR offers on the £7000 asking price.

P/X - up to £1500 for a 1.6 205 GTI (any condition), up to £1000 for a dirt bike (YZF preferred, any considered)

Firstly, fantastic looking car

However if I were in the market for a car of this standard then I would be a little put off as to why you had not IVA'd it when there were only very minor issues left on it.

May be worth the extra mile to get it IVA'd for a better chance of sale.

I agree, but the simple answer is that I'm a very busy, very poor student and my parents have sold the house where it's kept.

Having stumbled across this and the other threads where you are trying to sell your Rush I am amazed that you haven't IVA'd the car yourself. I bought an unfinished Rush for a fraction of the amount spent. The downside is that I am having to redo pretty nearly everything.

Without meaning to be harsh but having got so close to an IVA then not complete the job would raise my suspicions, probably wrongly, but I think the difficulty in selling suggests others think the same.

If you want anything more than pin money for it spend a few hundred quid getting it through IVA then get thousands back.
