digital audio editing softwaee

I got a radio concert recorded on dat and would like to edit out parts of it, then put onto cd, is there any free pc software that can do that?

Ofcourse the first problem is connecting digital out from dat player to transfer to the pc, that may be the stumbling block, i reckon i would need to buy some converter.

I have used http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-dvd-video-software.htm (various tools and does audio and video) and it works well, but beware to //uncheck/decline the licence of// any of the 'optional' ad-on junkware

I use wavepad, seems to do the job for me.

Check your sound card, quite a few do come with some sort of digital in (optical or similar). Definitely keep it digital if you can.

Edit: Sorry, should have posted a link! Wavepad

Don't bother with the pro one, the free one is very capable.

Goldwave. Is quite a few yrs old so a license key is an easy find, and will need a mp3 encoder addon but a bit of googling will assist.
