OT: graphics card socket

What is this socket called?
I need to get an adapter so I can plug a monitor into it but I don't know what this socket is called to look for one.

Cheers

It is a DVI socket but a vesa DMS one meant for multi display I think.Fitting a new graphics card I would think is the easiest option.

Matrox Dual Head cards use this socket - you need an adaptor lead that splits it to two monitors...

but if it was me, id junk it in favour of a ATI 4850. cheap and powerful.

Looks like a Dell machine to me, I have installed a few of these in the past and they came with two breakout cables one which plugged in and gave you two standard VGA connections and one that gave you 2 DVI connections, not sure if it is specific to Dell or not as some of there stuff is custom ordered/made, if you cant find the cable you may need to get one from dell which will probably not be cheap.

Stuart - I have one of those leads in my hand!!

It's from a Dell GX280 with the optional dual header VGA (expensive optional extra!)

Part number: CN-0g9438-52204-73d-2251.

Happy to drop in post for you?
