02GF74 - 19/12/14 at 01:47 PM

Exhaust is non standard and i dont have time to do it properly using new steel pipe and fabrication

Is there stuff thay can cover up pin holes in leaky rusting exhasut pipe? paste or bandage stuff, not enough non rusty steel to weld to.

Holts, Gun Gum do a load of different things for this. One being a bandage that you wrap round and it melts onto the pipe/silencer

I have used thin gauge stainless steel sheet, cut to a shape that just wraps around pipe, apply exhaust jointing compound + jube clip = sorted.

From my experience nothing works for more than a couple of days.

I found fire cement as used for flue pipes and aluminium foil tape used together do quite a good job.I repaired an exhaust using them and then a coat of aluminium paint and it got through 2 MOT's before i got around to replacing it.
