Rear boot box cover question

Hi All,

especially those who have passed IVA's since they started.

As in the title, does anyone know if you 'Have to' cover the rear boot space, or are we able to leave the space open where the tank is fitted along with filler cap and fuel pipe, plus fuel pump?

Or is it a simple,
1. Cover it and it makes the test slightly easier as no testing with their sharp edge tester
or
2. Leave it open and they test the for sharp edges all inside it
or
3. leave it and they don't look for any sharp edges inside anyway?

Thanks for any replies.

Jason

Just a thought, if I fit a boot cover, is it still ok to have the fuel filler inside the boot ?
