Aeroscreen Mounting

Hello All
I'm after some help or advice with regards fitting a small screen to a STM Phoenix? I've tried searching here without success so apologies if this has been covered before, but does anyone have advice on the best method to fix a screen to the body work, bearing in mind that my Phoenix has the light weight body shell so not much to fix to!
Any thoughts would be very gratefully received as I have just bought some 3mm lexan, now I need to shape and fix!
Cheers
John

I formed some ali into the correct shape/angle (about 70 degrees IIRC) with a bottom flange which then bolted it to the bulkhead and then pan-head screwed it to the screen with a thin strip of rubber in-between to give some cushioning.
If it doesn't curve towards the rear a couple of angled brackets at either end should give enough support.
Have a look at 1950/60's open top sports/race cars for ideas.
HTH.

As above, unless there's a dedicated feature to bolt the Lexan to then I'd approach it with some Alloy brackets. You can buy right angle Alloy strip so you could cut sections from it and bend it a little further to make what you need.

Ask JeffW on here or the JPSC forum, I am sure he fitted his aero screen himself. Even if he didn't he can tell you how its fixed.

I used items like this;

eBay link

And fitted side mirrors though the screen to help strengthen

Many thanks for all your replies, certainly some food for thought on how I can best complete this!
