Don't know how useful this is but...

"Toughened" Mini windscreen ~5mm
Laminated Mini windscreen ~7.5mm

That's all I have in the garage for comparison, not sure what the flat laminated stuff we need for Locosts might be.

Cheers, Ted

id get laminated or reinforced glass and let them work out the thickness!

BTW my mate works for a car window company, he offered me a windscreen cut to fit the other day. dunno if thats any use or if it is easy to get done.

thanks for the little bit o help.

I saw 8mm somewhere else - that seems more like bank security glass thickness to me!

I just wanted to see if some rubber edging and metal in my local B and Q would be compatable

really, I should just call up autoglass and ask em I suppose - or break someones window

Steve, when I was previously in the kit business I'm pretty certain we used 6mm laminated...it fit nicely in 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/8 Ali channel.....just enough room for a sealing strip...

You are right 8mm is OTT

yeah - that sounds about right alan!

I wanted to see if the channel in stock at my local DIY store was the size I needed.

will take another look and see what I can get to fit.
