Harness attachments to chassis

I've not bought the harness yet, but I do need to weld on the mounting points.
Here's the daft question. Do all harnesses require an eyelet to clip onto, or do some require a bolt, or hooks . .. ?

All methods can be used for harnesses. If you weld on 7/16 UNF threads (either nuts, or get some bushes made up) then you have the choice at a later stage to use bolts or screw in eyelets. This seems to be the standard size thread for seat belt anchorages.

I got pre tapped stress plates from Europa spares, cost £1.50 ea, then welded them to the trianglular plates.

Hope this helps Dan.

as far as the sva is concerned, you need to use a 11mm bolt or the imperial equivalent as a minimum.

the mount also has to be 'indestructable' or some such. In english, if you take the bolt out, the nut must stay in its mount.

In other words, welded on - but sva dont say that in a simple way!
