STM upper and lower ball joints???

Hi guys.

I am rebuilding some suspension bits on my STM Blade and need some help from the suspension Gurus out there. As far as I know they use Cortina uprights and hubs and an Escort rack. What I wanted to find out was exactly what the donor vehicle make, model and year would be for the following parts:
- Tie rod end (I'm guessing is a standard Escort MK2 one?)
- Upper ball joint or drag link, whatever it is called. Looks kind of like this:

- Lower ball joint which looks kind of like this:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Top one will be a Transit/Sherpa drag link end. Bottom... Maxi?

I agree.

My STM car has Transit Drag Link at the top and Maxi at the bottom.

Thanks for the help guys. So is it an Austin Maxi? We don't have the any cars called a Maxi over here in Oz so I am unfamiliar with the name.

Yes... Austin/BritishLeyland/BL. Google search images and if it's ugly you've found it.

Ahhhhhh, my eyes! Glad to see that for every one of those that goes off the road a Lotus 7 replica gets on the road.

I also have to replace all the bushes in the STM wishbones but am having trouble finding a supplier in Oz that has the correct size ones. Any ideas on a car that had similar bushes standard so I have something to use as a guide for the suspension mob here?

Why not contact the current owner of the Stuart Taylor Motorsport design - Aries Motorsport. Then you can buy the parts you need direct - I guess postage might be a bit more expensive

They have a website here; https://sites.google.com/site/rammisms/

Just be careful when ordering the top balljoints, the main thread came in 2 sizes M18 and M20. Make sure you measure the thread first so you order the right size. Ask me how I know.......
