IVA Steering Wheel

I currently have an OMP steering wheel on a quick release boss

I made a crash pad, but it doesn't look very good

Any recommendation for a steering wheel and crash pad that will fit the qr boss. I have blocked the QR boss from working.

Any advise greatly appreciated - test is next week, and the nerves are setting in....

I can't directly help, but I should mention that IVA isn't looking for 'looks good'... If it's secure and would do the job then you should be fine. So what if it accidentally falls off after IVA?

I have a Momo Race, and Dennis at Norwich was only concerned that it would collapse if I were to hit it.

It's fitted to a Vauxhall Nova column and once he had groped the expanded metal bit within the scuttle he was happy.

I purchased one of the Racetech steering wheel padding (Suede) for 265 - 270mm steering wheel for my steering wheel but it was the wrong shape. I'll happily drop it in the post for you and you can give it a go.

huge thanks to mick for the crash pad, not sure its big enough however, so:-

I have the crash pad

the pad I made (which is not that good looking)

or I could go with an option like micks of using neoprene

or the horn push

here's a link to some photos

link

what do people think? I just don't know what to do for the best on this point

the small pad will cover the screws that will disable the quick release so that something, and I can double sided sticky tape it on

the pad I made (the bigger one) has the screws to disable the quick release in it

thanks in advance
