Swapping the 98 CBR919 CDI with a CBR600?

I have been thinking of swapping out my CDI to a CBR600 unit as I have read on here that it gives a little more mid range torque and lifts the rev limiter by about 1,000rpm but am not sure which CDI to use? I have seen a few around that say they suit a CBR600 from 95 - 98 but when I looked up the part numbers they are different for the 95-96 and the 97-98 CBR600's. My engine is a 98 model so I imagine that I should be looking to use one from an equivalent year but there seems to be less of the 98 ones around, at least in Oz anyway.

I've heard this but never got a definitive answer or even enough information to risk trying it out.

You get more than a 1000 rpm increase, from some research the RPM limit for 919 is 11,000-12,500 (depending on who says) but for a 600 its 13,500-14,500 (again dependant on source).

If I was trying it I would be inclined to fit a standalone rev limited to hold the max rpm at something abit closer to the 919 standard.
