Another update!
Snap-off - 4/3/08 at 02:27 PM

Hi again,
Pleased with my progress over the last week or so, fitted the bonnet, rear panel, wings and some lights . Bloody nightmare to line it all up.
Also machined up and fitted some indicator extensions and cut some vents into the bonnet (which im pleased with).
Got some carbon sheet coming for rear stone guards and the front cycle wing brackets to do next..

looking absolutely stunning, wished mine looked that good.

Is your battery tray fitted over your top side panel edges? I'm having real problems getting an equal gap along the bottom of the bonnet compared to the side panels and also the rear edge of the bonnet wants to sit higher than the scuttle.

I'm sure this is all down to the scuttle sitting on the side panel and then the bonnet is sitting on top of that.

Any pointers to getting such a nice tidy result mush appreciated.

Cheers
Nigel

Thanks mate,
I made my own battery tray which I had to cut back to let the bonnet sit flush. I has to dremmel/file the underside of the front bonnet to get it to line up at the scuttle end.

That exhaust looks great! What end-can is that? How did you have the radius and the bend done if it is a motorcycle unit?

The car looks stunning! Good job! Great and unusual colour scheme, too!

MK engineering 4 into 1 with a modified cat that i got from the States (cut the ends off and welded on 2" pipe at an angle)

Could just be a difficult angle but do the rear tyres stick out wider than the arches?

Mine did by about 10mm and I failed come SVA for it - Id even wound a lot of negative camber on at the rear and still wasnt enough!

It must be the angle, although they are very close to it. I still have the rubber arch trim to fit also to give me a few more mm.

you need to trim the battery tray down either side so it sits between the side panels or you'll always have that gap. you could also cut out the flange on the bonnet but then it looks rough when you take the bonnet off.

i've riveted aluminium angle down the chassis tube at the edges to give somewhere for it to seal onto and screw through

Sorry, I have to work all weekend. I will try and get to one of the meets as soon as I can.
I know what you mean about it going backwards, I felt like driving mine into the river a few days ago!
Hope it's not too serious.
