today i have sold my pride and joy .feeling very numb at the moment. but at the week end i will be finaliseing the spec on new car

Look on the bright side - you got all that joy to come building another one.
Like the paint job - most people think that's Gulf Porsche colours but IIRC it was GT40's that won le Mans in those colours (or is my memory fading?).

no u r bang pewe its colour is a replica of the 1969 gt40 car number 6 that won le mans with JACKIE ICKX and JACKIE OLIVER at the wheel

the new car is going 2 b very light as near 2 420kg as poss and 200+ bhp and just a track rat and eccsmk can have aride any time . by the way the gulf colours are light blue & marigold

I have a photograph of a le man winning GT40 that visited our Gulf refinery back in the day, il have to scan it and post it up

the car was 4 sale on piston heads bec section but keep your eyes open there may be an other very high spec indy R comeing up 4 sale soon

Gaz, thought my memory wasn't getting that bad.
In fact the weekend after le Mans they paraded them at Mallory still with all the muck and dirt they'd gathered during the race.
Makes my hairs stand on end just remembering the awesome thunder as they circulated!

Gaz,that car has a special place in my heart,you took me out for a drive when I went over to mk one saturday morning to have a look,my first bec experiance,20 minutes after returning my order was placed. Cheers mate.

Im toying with selling my spec R indy, fancy something that is so fast it makes me want to cry!!
