Worxbusa Start UP

Hi all well great weekend spent Friday setting up engine for start up OIL COOLENT first checking for leaks and sorting any issues. Only one to deal with slight leak from top rad hose SORTED.
New oil filter and oil. With new sump fitted filling was slow going did not want to over fill no worrys though as quantity had increased from 3.5L to 4L so was very pleased with that result. Next fuel and prime system all good with this.
First disconected the the ignition system and turn engine over to prime all the oil ways all ok there.

Next rocker cover removed checking valve clearance and cam shaft timing not a bad job to do now out of the bike loads more room to work. Only one small ajustment to make. Exhaust cam 0.004" out on valve timing easy sorted with the ajustable cam sprockets. OK cover back in place second prime of oil and fuel systems and reconnect ignition system.

Well time to hit the nice round engine start button.

BIG SMILE STARTED FIRST TIME

VERY LOAD everyone Knew the car had started had visits from neighbours all sat afternoon to check out the car. luck i have great neighbours and understanding they have all been very intrested on how the build has been going and poping round when working on car to see the progress.

Ran the engine for about 30min to clear all the air out the cooling system all good ran for another 20min to pressure the coolant system great no leaks and all is very very good.

Checked clutch and gear box all good here too.
Just one issue had to move the speedo pick up now good signal speedo works.

So very happy

Just the test to go, waiting on DATE.

If no video to prove it, it didn't happen

Sounds like things went well

Take care

If you are in Horsham, then we would like to see you and your car for some runs. If you haven't joined then suggest you look at the Southern Kit Car Club. No cost, just a lot of like minded people who enjoy meeting all makes of kit car people.
I have a Busa powered Westfield and there are a number of BEC's in the club.

Good to hear the engine runs. it's great when you get to that stage.

kind regards, cosmick

If it can't be fixed with a hammer then its probably an electrical problem.
