Reg/rectifier wiring

Can anyone advise where the positive and negative wires from the regulator should go to? I am using an MBE loom and FIA battery cut off. Surely they do not go direct to the battery. Also how heavy do the wires need to be?

(I know that the other 3 wires out of the reg/rec connect straight to the stator on the engine and in no particular order)

Thanks in advance

Rob

Anywhere on your main power circuit/wiring connections,or direct to battery.

I've got mine going to my busbar's behind the dash,as this was the nearest place to connect it too.

Mines got a CB for protection.

Could go onto your main battery feed on the start relay/solenoid etc if that's easy to get to

I run mine straight to my LiFePO4 battery now... Originally the -ve was earthed on the chassis & the +ve was via the starter relay...

I used 17amp cable (hardwired to the reg/rec)
