Cad file for electric reverse gear wheel

Hi guys

Having spent ages going through the archive here looking for a cost effective electric reverse gear wheel to to fit to the drive shaft i noticed one of the makers Lazar cuts them from stainless so I could not help but wonder if anyone here has or could produce a suitable CAD file for getting one Lazar cut because that may be far more economical way of getting a suitable gear made.
Failing that links to makers of said gear would be appreciated!

If so I'll have one up for sale in the next few weeks

That is the best price I have seen for one! So I have saved the link for future reference when I get to that stage!
Most other places want a great deal more than that and at that price its not worth the hassle of having something specially made

I would buy one ASAP, at that price they aren't going to get any cheaper, BUT they may very well go up in price

That looks amazing so can you send me the file that I will need to take to a local Lazar cutting place and tell me how many beer tokens I should send to you in appreciation of your efforts because getting one cut locally to me would seem to be the best and most economical way to acquire the part that I will need.

Thanks for the offer but If I can get the suitable file from STE that will be the bets way to go

Hi

I would need the exact dimensions to make you the file. That one i made was a rough guess just to have a play.

I do know from the internet that the plate is 10mm thick and overall width is 150mm but i need to know the size of the hole in the centre, the bolt holes you can drill yourself.

regards

ste

5 minutes?

I lied, under 4 minutes it took,

here's a video of me making it. The image i used as the canvas was taken from the web as a guide. It doesn't align perfectly as the photo wasn't taken at exactly 90 degrees. I calibrated the overall width of the sprocket to 150mm as it says on the internet, then i drew a single groove and created a circular pattern with the 58 teeth. Then placed a hole for a mounting bolt and patterned that 4 times, then extruded it to 10mm

Even a 2018 macbook pro takes it's time to compute over 500 filets as you will see! obviously, the filets is just to make the render look nicer and cannot be done by the laser cutter, all in, maybe three minutes to model the sprocket then a minute making it stainless, fileting it and rendering it it.

I am planning to use a ST1100 engine in my car and will be fitting the gear to the driveshaft adapter that I will have to make to connect the Honda universal. so this means that the hole in the middle can be 45mm which I will match to the piece I have turned to connect the Honda uni to the driveshaft tube, The other dimensions you suggest are correct 150mm OD (or as near as the tooth size dictates) and 10mm thick This will be tig welded to the adapter so no bolt holes will be necessary.
I hope that explains what I plan to do clearly enough.

Here's a link to the STEP file. If your laser cutter man has CAD software he can edit the file to add his machines kerning values before making the DXF file for the cutter. I don't know what they are obviously as I don't know the machine parameters .

If someone can come up with a dxf or dwg file I would think I could probably get these cut for substantially less than £30 & would be happy to post anywhere around the world (well, maybe not to Syria ...). Obviously the file would need to be for the regular Sierra diff item not a random one off!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I can do dxf and dwg. I would need the hole size in the centre though. From the looks of it it is 60mm but need it confirming. also, knowing the tooth angle would be good too.
