2008 Hayabusa engine

Plan to build an seven in near future.

My goal is to use the latest Busa engine.
Has anybody built an seven with it yet?

The 2008 model is fitted with imobilizer and i supose it would give me an hard time if i don´t have the complete bike loom, ignition key and dash.
It also have lambda on board, suppose cloosed loop.

Anybody with experience of this electronic lump?

I also try to get confirmed if the existing drysump systems will work.
Nova engineering and TTS say i looks like it would work....not firmly confimed...any body how really knows?

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I checked his site out and he seems to be in an earlier stage in his build to face all engineproblems.

That might be the case, but he didn't rush in to his engine choice and did a lot of investigation first.

He may still have some knowledge/advice that is valuable.

Regards,
Steve

There's nothing quite like 2nd hand info but I think the man in question is away with the family, so...

Fesycresy has indicated to me that the dry sump kits do fit.

Hi there

I have just completed a 7 build with a 2008 Busa engine. Its the dogs nuts and would definatly recommend it!

Although the sump pan differs slightly on the 08, the current Nova dry sump system still fits along with the oil pump. The main output shaft where the sprocket goes on is bigger so the current ones wont fit but nova happened to have the broach to make one. All engne mounting points are the same. I totally took the loom apart and took out all the crap that the bike has like the things stand and clutch sensors. Theres no way I could find out how to get rid of the chipped key so I fitted it in the car by taking the chips out the keys and fitting them in the car ones. I'm glad I did as it works great!

Theres a few pics in my archive but if you need any more info at all let me know.

Jason

One other thing worth mentioning is that A.P do a 14mm master cylinder which is a good match to the Nova clutch slave. It's very proportional and does not snatch like the more common 5/8 bore ones are supposed to.
