Defo check the fuse rating. Somebodies car on here had a 15 amp main fuse in it when it should have been a 30amp

Apparently they only found out whilst driving home in the dark with it pi$$ing down when the full beam was on

I am reliably informed that they were a bit cheesed off

Edited to account for lager consumption

Check the charge wire, its best taken back directly to the positive terminal on the battery, you might find its overcharging otherwise, due to a poor connection.
same symptoms as having a knackered reg/rec, stick a multimeter on the battery to check whilst revving the engine, mine was hitting 20v+ until i wired it direct to the battery. Got all the way to Donnington from Leeds before it cooked the battery, but it had blown fuses for a while beforehand.

Fuse update

Hi

Guys

i have unplugged the fan switch and shorted the plugs to see if it still blows fuses and it did 10A

so i stripped back the wiring and put a fuse inline and it blew the fuse put another fuse back 10A in and i cant get it to blow the fuse again

so it looks like it might have an intermittent fault with the fan.

unless any body has any other ideas

Thanks Chris
