C20xe running rough

Hi guys after a bit of advice for a novice,

Got a f27 with c20xe running on weber twin 40's. And cav dizzy.

Was running ok a year ago, been doing a few bodywork mods and been sorn, just trying to get it out again, starts ok, ticks over ok, but when I try it down the road on load it bogs down, splutters and I have to dip the clutch or come off throttle.

I have checked the plugs, a little black soot, put fresh fuel in, checked the dizzy cap.

But that's about my lot.

Any ideas about what it could be.

Andy.

Are your jets blocked? Did you leave fuel in the carbs for a year? Cos that will probably be it.

I have looked down the carbs and when I press the throttle the pump jets squirt fuel.

One of the jets was replaced at start of this year as I noticed it was blocked.

Check the jets in the carb's and the float heights
If its been laid up for a bit you may have a sticking float/s

take the carb tops off, clean out the bowls, blow everything through with compressed air and all should be ok. As above check float heights, though if they were ok before they "shouldn't" have moved.
