Anyone using SBD taper throttle bodies on Duratec?

I'm looking at buying a set of throttle bodies for a Duratec and the SBD ones seem to give good power and are one of the few that provide a power / torque curve for various levels of tuning.

Anyone used them or got any feedback?

Cheers

Stephen

Using Jenvey here with dual injectors, make lots of power 193hp on a standard engine and the two sets of injectors make it very drivable.

Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Search posts by flakmonkey. If I recall correctly, he had them, but had a nightmare getting them work well. In the end I think he ditched them for Jenveys.

All this talk of torque curves, the only thing that matters is the power curve. "Area under the curve"

I've probably opened a can of worms now!

Flak had trouble with Titan rollers not itb's.

It was Bailey performance who fitted and tuned mine.

I stand corrected. Thanks!

Many thanks for the replies.

One of the reason's I've been looking at the SBD kit is they provide a power / torque curve, rather than just making the blanket statement 'outperforms competitors throttle bodies' like a lot of the other manufacturers. They also specify an exhaust manifold to suit the set up.

Again, many thanks for the replies.
