HP fuel pump location

Hi
My swirl pot is in the rear of the car now. Does te HP pump need to be near it or is it OK up front as long as its lower than the swirl pot?

Cheers

HP pump needs to be below/level with bottom of tank and as close as possible. They're very good at pushing fuel but not at sucking it. Put it higher or a long way from the tank outlet and you will get cavitation (bubbles) in the fuel. Doing that will effect power and soon ruin the pump.

best close (or better IN ) the tank.
hp pumps usually rely on 'flood fill' -they don't 'suck'
also place it as low as possible

OK cheers guys, I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case as it was what I did on my previous kit build a few years ago.

Thanks

Now fitted at the raer of the car right below the swirl pot
