Registration in Belgium
belgian2b - 30/4/19 at 08:34 AM

Hello,

I bought in January a Westfield SEW in UK and took it back to Belgium.
Car is a 1998 Q plate with Pinto engine, modified headcam, 2 double weber, full cage, carbon seats, removable steering wheel,etc....
It was build for track days.

So , today i had an appointment to start registration process here in Belgium.
Before this, i had to take the full cage out, change the steering wheel, change the mirrors, change the seats .....

Test went well , except emissions.
As first registration is 1998, the car needs to meet 0,5 CO at idle and lambda : 1 +/- 0,03
I also have to change the wheels because maximum speed from speedometer is 220 km/h when tires are rated 210 km/h, put a horn and a central mirror ( i forgot the horn and mirror)

So , not so bad.

I will make an appointment to a specialist and see if he can solve the emission problem on the engine.

Emissions on a pinto/weber won't be easy, careful setup with a cat fitting....at least for the test any way

What did the emissions measure at? Best of luck, I think that could be quite a challenge!
