I am looking to buy a car on gumtree.

I tried to contact the seller, but i get no answer to my messages.

It could be due to the fact that i am in Belgium and i know that sometimes sellers are afraid to deal with somebody out of UK.

So , is there someone here that coudl try to contact the seller in order to let him know that i am a serious buyer ?

Gumtree really only works for local purchases where you can meet face to face and make sure your are not being scammed.

That goes for buyer and seller scams!

I see lots of so called local cars advertised in many different locations - quite obvious car dealers not declaring that they are businesses.

I wouldnt use gumtree from abroad, stick to a reputable dealer or a site where you get some backup.
