Duratec type 9 clutch disc
belgian2b - 10/7/20 at 08:28 AM

Hello,

i have ordered parts from RWD for my Pinto to Duratec conversion ( bellhousing, clutch fork and release bearing).
I keep the standard Fiesta ST 150 flywheel.

Now , i have to order the clutch disc , but i don't know which one to order as there are so many models available and price vary from 40 £ to hundred £.

I am not going for high power ( 150 to 160 cv) and the car will be mainly road use.

What do you recommend ?

Gerardo

Hi I used Titan motorsport bell housing, if you follow thread all info there, used an AP racing heavy duty friction plate from Burton.

Also make sure the bell housing has a bolt in it to stop the lay shaft falling out.

I USED AN ESCORT RS1600 TURBO 1989 CLUTCH PLATE MATCHED UP WITH AN OLD FORD TRANSIT PRESSURE PLATE ON THE ST FLYWHEEL THE DURATEC ENGINE HAS ABOUT 230BHP AND THE CLUTCH HOLDS FINE TRACK OR ROAD
