Rear Wiring Problems

I hope someone might be able to help. I am rebuilding a Lowcost/? and am having problems with the wiring, it doe not match the books. I have a brown. red/black. greg. and a black/grey. they are going to both sides. I also have a red which is loose and going full length of the back.
Can anyone give some advice please.

You need sidelight,brake light,rear hazard,left and right indicator, reverse lamp if fitted and earth. If it's Ford wiring the brown is earth and red is live to something, grey is sidelights, the wires with black stripes will most likely be indicators. Suck it and see.

Blast, there goes my bit of fame.

Sounds like you're going to have to do some debugging.

An assistant and a test light with a long wire to an alligator clip will help immensly
