Can you help me name this engine part?
this is probably a really obvious question but i cant for the life of me find out what this part is actually called.
Its the triangular piece that is part of the throttle cable mechanism. This pic isnt actually mine but its the same sort of part and it saved me
taking the bonnet off mine.

I'd call it a throttle bellcrank.
I know some people (eta: like Andy! Crossed post!) who refer to them as throttle quadrants , too, but to me that's the hand-lever throttle
mechanism you get on boats and aircraft.

I'd go with throttle quadrant
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator

I would call it a throttle cable cam, or just throttle cam.
you can get different profiles as well, so the linkage is progressive, -search throttle snail cam

thats exactly what im after gremlin.
the current one isnt progressive at all, so the throttle at low speed is a bit harsh. something more progressive would be ideal, either to buy or if i
can get a good look at one get one made.
