BEC reverse gear and MOT

Hi Guys,

haven't posted in a while - i'm looking at a fellow members car at the weekend and wanted to sanity check something.....

R1 BEC car, which originally had a reverse box but has since had it removed, so no reverse gear currently. If memory serves, this is fine for MOT purposes? Reverse isn't checked for MOT?

Secondly, it still has a reverse light fitted to the rear. would I need to remove this for MOT? I believe if a light is fitted it needs to work?

Any help greatly appreciated!

No reverse needed for MOT. However if the reverse light is fitted, it will be tested. I think
