Type 9 reverse light switch

I have a type 9 box fitted and am in the process of trying to get the reverse light to work, i have found the switch on the casing of the box. Can anyone tell me if there is a wiring plug on the Sierra loom that connects to the switch.

The way my box is fitted means the terminals on the switch are tight against the upright tube of the tunnel, making it almost impossible to get connectors onto the switch. I thought/hope the Sierra loom may have a plug that would fit neater.

Can someone confirm this, also does anyone have any connection alternatives, without drilling through the tunnel panel?

By the way, solder does not stick to the switch terminals.

Any help appreciated.

i had exactly the same problem, i got one on a visit to the scrappy. as rusty says, the switch only protrudes about 5mm from the top of the two gold connector things - its kind of a cast rubber thing that you press onto the switch.
hope this is of help
