WINDSCREEN WIPERS

Iknow the mini wiper motor is a favourite, can you use the same wheel boxes though?

I've noticed on my travels that wheel boxes are marked with numbers, would this be degrees of sweep or the likes?

Thanks

The degree of sweep is stamped on the cog drive of the wiper motor. If you take off the cover you should see it somewhere under the grease!

Pass! Haven't got as far as wiring it all in yet. I'm sure someone out there'll have an answer!

Regards, Ian.

I'm sure its in the archives somewhere, just a matter of finding it.

I'm fitting a flyscreen for SVA to save having to bother with washers/wipers and heater,i'm just planning ahead.

Hi Bob
Mine is a 110 degree wheel (late mini box) and with a bit of twisting and fiddling it sweeps just fine. It had to on the way back from Mallory, the rain was bouncing 4 ft off the road, great fun, Not! 4 sevens sliding and spinning like something off come dancing! In fact getting the water off the inside of the screen was the hard bit!! Oh and who would have thought there would be a traffic jam in the pissing rain on the M1 on the way back? I think one of us must have killed a Robin, or broken a mirror.
