Sierra Instrument Cluster?

Hi everyone,

Is it worth trying to use the Sierra Instrument Cluster in the interests of saving a little money? And hopefully the speedo will be acurate for SVA?

Anyone used it? And can tell me how to connect it up?

Thanks

Graham

I used the standard Sierra cluster for ease and cost. I cut the unit parallel with the instrument face, use a slow speed on the jigsaw else it welds up behind the saw. Using the donor loom made the connection straightforward. I used the standard speedo cable on a bit of a lenghty route. If your not using the Sierra loom you could possibly cut the connector and splice from one at the scrappy. The speedo reads about 10% fast and was OK at SVA. Have a look in photos - Cairb - Mad dash.

Cheers,

Colin

I used it for the easiest and I used smaller tyres to get the speedo reading right. It has all the warning lights etc. and saves you time and cash.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I've e-mailed a sketch of the connections I used to your virgin account. I'll attach it here as well.
