Odd battery behavior

Hello,

Just put a new battery in the kit after the old one died. It works fine cranks with no issue.

The problem i have is: after a blat kill the engine using the key then if you try and start it straigh after its as though the battrey is dead it doesnt engage the starter and all the digi dash goes off. Leave it for a couple of mins and cranks as though nothing has happend

any ideas?

Cheers in advance

Paul

Sounds like it could be a dodgy connection somewhere in your electrics and may be just the heat generated by running is causing a dodgy connection. Is your loom connected to a terminal on the starter motor along with the live feed from the battery? Thats where i'd look first anyway - clean the terminal and connectors and try again.

Hope is something this simple anyway.

Very good point - the engine needs a good solid earth back to the battery (via the chassis or directly).
