2gether insurance not so together.

Make sure your details are correct with these people as their administration top to bottom in the company has been p*ss poor over my recently insured car. They accepted no responsibility for the mistakes made and wanted to charge me to alter it.The documents sent to me for approval where altered and returned. When they came back nothing had changed and its left me feeling come renewal i'm off elsewhere. For the sake of a few quid its the worst decision I made to insure two cars with them.

Would be interested to hear from others of their experiences with this company as I am assured that my problems are unusual....yeah right

kevmcdo - 29/12/09 at 05:28 PM

Unusual my Axxe!!!!

I went through the exact same issue with them my self a few months ago, went through the whole company trying to get the correct details on my doc's and this was my second year with them without any changes in my details!!!!!
Spoken to in such a Condescending manner as if it was all my fault as we never have these sort of problems, first they blamed it on a change of system software then the cat then the dog!!!!
Be very careful with the paperwork, they will not be getting my money next year....

Dangle_kt - 29/12/09 at 05:51 PM

1 mistake on mine, sorted as soon as i told them

emailed them the other day with my reg number, received updated docs 2 days later.

Can't complain, but I did get the perseption that they don't seem to have the best back room practice - different answers from different people would suggest to me that they don't have things very well buttoned down and rely on individuals competance rather than robust processes.

matt_gsxr - 29/12/09 at 06:16 PM

similar problems. Errors on the documents, sent back. No changes.

They told me the errors weren't substantial and so not worth correcting.

(one was that it had 4 doors, when it has none, and the other was the colour).

They are cheap though. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I've never known a company get so much wrong. I bet they want all the details correct if you try to claim. I'm going elswhere next year as I never felt comfortable with them if i had to claim.

Reading all your comments guy's it will be interesting to see what happens when you need to make a claim!

I had a mate who had similar problems with a big name insurance company on his tintop and they tried to play the information you gave us was not correct when he tried to make a claim for vandalism to his motor.

omega 24 v6 - 29/12/09 at 08:24 PM

Im with them as well and the docs were originally wrong. BUT they were sorted quickly and FOC. What concerns me the most, is that they are a registered sponsor on this site and got a LOT of good press initially, when they started to give a lot of quotes to members. BUT they never reply to any threads relating to insurance questions on here. I know they are a business, and are probably busy but it just strikes me as strange.

Strange is a word for it,typical is another.I too find it odd that the site supports sponsorship from a company that needs to explain itself given the levels of ignorant admin.Probably more to the point does it merit the insurance ombudsman intervention?

Thanks for taking the time

prawnabie - 30/12/09 at 11:47 PM

TBF they have replied to a few of the thread, seemingly only when they have gotten out of hand.

Does anybody know how many people work at this company? I am due for renewal next month and was thinking about trying them. At the moment they seem to be stuggling with the amount of customers they have, so me jumping onto the pile probably won't help!

Had similar problems myself, wrong reg no on docs, no commuting cover, have emailed and spoke to them at least 6 times in the first 6 weeks of cover, now 8 months later still dont have the correct docs so i also will be going elsewhere come renewal time.

Firstly may I reply. The details that some of you are refering to will typically be minor details.

Claims will not be repudiated unless there are matierial facts non disclosed, Claims, Convictions ETC.

2Gether Insurance are a superb Kit Car Provider as most would state. It does however seem to be the British way not to praise when things are going well but to comment when they are not.

We would happily amend any minor details to policies. 2gethers Insurance policies have claims made on them every day and never have we had a car Insurance claim rejected based on 2gether having infiormation wrong.

I would welcome peoples comments.

and dont forget to call us for a quote Tel: 01945 465508

"LOL"

After many phone calls and assurances that it would happen it took a call to the actual insurance co. to get my details on the MID, THREE months after insuring with this brokers.

I will not be re-insuring with them again.

Can you rename to 'Together'? or just go balls-out-of-the-bath and change to '2gevva'?

that said, I am insured with you XD

beaver34 - 4/1/10 at 10:25 PM

people are never happy, im insureed with them was over £200 cheaper

although British do like a good moan

2GETHER INS - 8/1/10 at 09:04 AM

There is a comment on here that after 3 calls to us it wad the actual Insurance company who got the vehicle on the MID.......... IT IS ONLY THE INSURANCE COMPANY WHO CAN!

If a vehicle hasnt hit the MID it will be 1, either the Insurer has a backlog, 2, They havent received our electronic transmission (which is rare we run a daily report), 3, The MID message has fallen down, THE MID ISNT 100% .

I trust that this replies to the comments.

Common guys 2gether arew a good broker, with good rates and products.

Lets e sensible and comment on the overall service, efficiency , claims experience, price and policy benefits.

Gary

I dont think it is constructive to reply to my comment with LOL.

If you would like to discuss your case please call me or email me @ gary@2getherinsurance.com

If we lose your custom because the the Insurer didnt upload to the MID (which happens a lot with all companies on specialist vehilces it would be ridiculous.

Email me and I will give you a full breakdown.

Gary Haime - 2gether

x_flow57 - 8/1/10 at 10:26 AM

Garry,

Not wanting to run the risk of being stoped every time I went out because the car wasn't listed on the MID I phoned 2gether time and time again over a 3 month period (not 3 times) and was assured my car would be listed, told nothing was wrong, give it time, fobbed off, etc. etc.

I was getting nowhere so I contacted the Insurance co. directly and would you beleive it 24 hrs later (after THEY contacted 2Gether) it was listed.

3 months cover as good as wasted

Sorry but cheap insurance is not everything.

I will not be reinsuring 3 cars and a motorbike with you.

Nick

Seems my problems are not unusual at all.It also appears that these problems have been around for months.I'm waiting for the first of us to come against these problems as a reason not to pay out should we be in that position to claim. These people badly need to shape up.

Not worth correcting all right, if you smashed that four (no) door car and they send out an inspector that's reason enough right there to invaldiate your insurance and save themselves a packet. Meanwhile you're explaining to Plod why you had no insurance and trying not to get 6 points.

This can go right down to a change of radio...

ETA: It appears 2gether are a broker, so I'd like to point out it's not (as far as I know) themselves that would really have anything to do with the errors as they just pass them on to the insurer, nor am I implying that a broker would leave the details as misleading on purpose as they wouldn't be saving anything. In fact I imagine that if the above scenario were to occur they'd get it from the insurance company and the customer
