Checking insurance renewal date.

Quick one, does anyone know how you can find out when your insurance expires. ive moved and manged to lose my insurance docs for the van. I know it runs out soon but cant remember when or who im insured with, ive checked askmid and im still insured there. Just a little concerned as i do a lot of mileage and dont want nicking and my van inpounding at the other end of the country.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks rob

Check your bank statements? Other than that, without knowing who you're insured with, I doubt you'll find out!

I guess you wont receive the renewal papers either! Might just have to bite the bullet and reinsure it afresh. Or ask the people who live in your old house to keep an eye out for the papers!

I found my son's MOT renewal date online last week using the direct.gov site - can't you do the same with the insurance?

I'm guessing you don't do online banking, so you can still ask the bank for a printout of your transactions. You can narrow it down to four months? Just ask for them. Unless, you've also forgotten who you bank with...

check emails too? If bought online then there is usually an email relating to it.

If you can find out who you're paying go ask them. I've managed to get details without their reference number. Plus you'll want to contact them to change address

Thanks guys all good pointers I shall attack this with gusto, I'm sure it's this week and I'm off to Bristol and Newport all week. So if I don't find anything I might just reinsure it.
Thanks rob

Have a look at: http://www.askmid.com and you can check your expiry date.

Cheers

I found the same it only tells you your insured but no expiry date.
Anyway problem solved got a call Monday first job from my insurance company asking about my renewal on the 23rd.
On a side note they were miles out so as per usual no discount for loyal customers another year another insurance company.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions
Rob
