Registering a kit with trade insurance

Due to a total cock up by my insurance company I haven't got a certificate to register the kit. I have my trade insurance certificate which I have used before to get tax on already registered cars but is it ok to use it for registration?

I looked into getting a traders policy but it specifically excluded Q plated cars. Not exactly relevant to your question but I assumed a traders policy would cover every vehicle. Worth a call to your broker/underwriter?

Mine did, but I called up and they were ok to insure it TPO under the traders policy.
